my 1990 corvette starts and runs for about 3 mile then starts to sputter like it is out of gas

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my vet in to have the injectors replaced after letting the car sit for 10 years. It has
been sitting for about a month now. I ran it yesterday and she began to sputter after about
two mile like it was running out of gas. I turned it off and restated the car and again went
about to mile before the sputtering started again. I shut it down and restarted it and she
ran fine for 2  miles and began sputtering this happened until I got home..

Tell me that you drained all the old fuel out of it and changed the fuel filter before you replaced the injectors.

Try putt9ing in an octane booster and fill it up with the high octane gas. Change out the filters again as there may be residue left in the lines/tank. And are you really sure they replaced all the filters and drained the tank and blew out the lines? Go have the computer readouts read and see if there is any issues with the smog system, air mixture sensors, the cat system or other related issues. It sounds like everything reads fine until you get up to operating temperature. Make sure all the lines are connected also.
