A cashier's check is better than a personal check but caution is always good in transactions involving an expensive vehicle as your Corvette. Accept the cashier's check and then take it to the bank on which it was drawn before signing over the title. If it is not a local bank, do the transaction on a weekday and call the bank to verify the check is good.

Only if your bank accepts it. There are lots of fake cashiers checks going around. Unless it is drawn on your bank it will take 2 weeks to clear IF IT EVER DOES.
