Question type: Shopping & Pricing
Hi there. I just negotiated a price on a vehicle in New Hampshire and am waiting for the bill of sale to be signed. The sellers were on vacation until just tonight. The question I have is that my husband received an email today from someone claiming to represent Cargurus asking us to wire the original purchase price of $4,500 immediately. The agreed upon price is $2,500. I'm wondering if this person is a hacker. His name is Craig Tierney from "AutoPay", Denver. Thanks

Contact AutoPay directly to confirm if this person works for them but this sure sounds like a scam to me.
Anytime someone asks you to wire money is a scam to me.
YOU STILL HAVE NOT ANSWERED ABOUT THE PRICE ON BILL OF SALE SHOULD BE $2500 NOT $4500!!!!

Message the seller directly to correct, also have a look at this link: https://cargurus.helpscoutdocs.com/category/6-shopping-for-a-car
Scammers asking for more money? Now that is truly shocking. Why would you bother pursuing this? I would have moved on after 1/10 of a second.
