why is my 1998 impreza stopping as I drive?
It seems to cut out and generally I need to change down a gear and give it a real boost for it to power up again. it is manual and has done over 350000 klms. The oil is full. I use low grade petrol.

Check air filter and clean throttle body replace fuel filter if have not done so in a while use the middle grade or high test gas and add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank.
Also could be spark-related. Maybe check plugs, wires, and coil/distributor.
