hood release cables broke, can't open hood

body shop can get it open for you,or a dealership.

You can open it by reaching up under the rear edges of the hood through the front of the door openings. There is a special tool made for it but it can be done with a long screwdriver. By the way, check your cables don't go near your battery, mine corroded just touching the battery and the cables were burned by the acid clean through....

Hey all, if you remove the upper fender well plastic over the wheel which is attached to the hood after you remove the wheel you can get right in there with your drop light and a screwdriver and push either side of the latch to open the hood. It's so much easier than buying a tool and screwing up your weather stripping and having all that are noise or taking it somewhere and paying $150 I did it in 20 minutes
