A random wire

Question type: General

I was looking in the trunk of my car and realized there is a wire just hanging down and i
was wondering if anyone might no what it is. I do know that its not to any of my taillights,
because they all work. To me it almost looks like a wire you could plug another speaker
into.

A single wire or pair? Does the light work with lid open? And watmiguy has an excellent idea if possible

I agree. the fixture is missing. See the small rectangle when you click image to size it up? The fixture/bulb holder snaps in to that OR, see the little white thing over to the side? That wire looks like it would reach that just right. But do you have a light already that works? If so we are on the wrong track. But if not, watmiguy and myself might be right. Credit where credit is due, he thought of it before I did, bit it's not speaker
