Losing coolant/water fast!
I have a 1993 subaru legacy wagon my dad gave
me. Now when I got the car from him he said
check the water in it every 1to 2 days.add water if
you need it before you start it. ..it also has an issue
starting....well it ran fine the first day I had it no
over heating nothin. Next day I figured out radiator
had big crack in it. So I have replaced the
radiator...he told me he had drilled a hole in the
thermostat. Okay so now I have a thermostat to
put in it. After replacing the radiator I took it for a
test drive to see if it would get hot I drove it about
15 minutes or so and it started to get hot I parked
it. Today I went to go and drive and make sure
there was water in the radiator filled up topped off.
And after I 12 for about 20 minutes it started
getting hot again. I pulled over left it running took
the radiator cap off and had to put more water in
well when I'm pulling away I looked in my rearview
mirror and noticed I'm leaving a trail of water I don't
know where the water could be coming from the
radiator is brand new but the water is coming out
of somewhere I need suggestions please? ! If I
replaced the thermostat and radiator. But am
losing enough water to where I see the trail in my
rearview.what should I do next???? Is the HEATER
CORE a possible problem? A friend suggested the
heater core.
