How can I get rid of the anti-theft light on my 2006 Chevy Cobalt ?

While driving power steering light came on, AC stopped blowing cold, and the
shifting got really rough.  Tried to baby it home and it stalled out on me.  Now it
won't crank and the anti-theft light comes on with key in "on" position.  A
matco scan tool is unable to communicate.  Please help.
