when i rev my engine it makes a "tssss" sound, only when its in a high rev, its fast and
noticeable. its 100% stalk. my car is a 2006 chevy cobalt LT coupe.

No your car is not eqipped with turbo.
The only Cobalt with positive pressure induction is the Supercharged SS. not your LT Coupe. A turbo operates off the exhaust and a supercharger is a belt-driven device. TST is spot on, yours is neither

ive got the same car, the "tsss" is your intake. ive got a k&n cold air kit and it makes a consistant turbo sound at 3k rpm while driving. ive been asked by people who ive raced what kind of turbo i have.... i laugh and i dont have one. cobalts are a grea economy car but also pretty fun to drive, if you plan on racing a cobalt id upgrade it because the stock hp is like 145 hp.......get the ss supercharged and youll have a ball. hope i helped!

Does nobody know about the turbo ss??? 260hp 260tq direct injection, ECOTEC! GMS1 UPGRADE made 290hp 330tq 0-60 5.5 seconds (limited due to wheel spin. Fwd...)
