Intermittently will not start

I will start my car a 1996 Subaru
Legacy station wagon run it till it
completely hot shut it off it will just
crank after I try to start it after 20
minutes something let's go and it
starts...every time.

While the car wont' start you need to check for spark and fuel to the engine. Most likely it is one or the other. Once you know that you can find the problem. When you say "hot" do you mean normal temp or overheating?
