oil maintenance light never come out

why the oil maintenance light never comes out even when I try to reset the oil
life it seems like the light died, chevy equinox 2006 any answer will be truly
appreciated thanks!

Supposedly oil life is determined by engine temperature, driving conditions (highway or stop and go), engine RPMs, and mileage. If the oil life doesn't get down low enough for the light to come on because you don't drive the vehicle much the oil and oil filter should be changed at least once a year. Hope that helps! Jim
