T/C light means Traction Control. When this feature is activated by a click of the button, when wheel spin is detected, it will transfer power to the wheel with most traction. It also cuts back on engine power quite a bit and that is what you are experiencing. Turn that feature off and wonder why that's happening now without snow and ice.

Hornet_2497, thank you! I will try and turn that off and see if it helps me at least drive it to have someone look at... I turned the car off, let it sit for a bit and turned it back on. The TC light is now off but the check engine light is on now...

There is no TC button on the instrument panel above the audio system... Does this mean that I can't turn it off?

I had a GM with T/C and I could click it on and off. Also, T/C would shut off each time when I turned the motor off. Okay, since the T/C system runs off inputs from the wheel speed sensors (ABS too) I think you have a sensor failed or unplugged at one of the front wheels. Anyway, have your codes scanned and get it fixed. It's probably not real serious. Just a sensor.
