92 subaru loyale that has a problem shifting gearsalong with high rpms
however it only does this when its hot outside or it gets to hot. never when its
cold when i go to work

Autobox? Sounds like internal tranny seals are leaking when hot. Try changing ATF. Still no go? Add a bottle of ATF conditioner/sealer. Still no go? Toss the car, as it isn't worth chasing another tired old autobox.... Stick? Check clutch adjustment and trans gear oil level.
