Any chance you connected any green plugs under the dash / foot jam area?

Trace the codes and proceed. The automatic "drive/reverse" delay is because the front seal in the trans has dried out, so it takes too log for pressure to build to engage. Change your ATF immediately, then drive a couple of days. Then change the ATF AGAIN, this time adding a bottle of seal conditioner along with the 3.5 qts ATF. In a few weeks Drive and Reverse response time might lessen. If not, throw the car away, as when this problem worsens the car will suddenly jerk forward when you're revving it and you might kill a pedestrian in a crosswalk. I am NOT kidding!
