Dash lights go out and horn fuse blows

Hmmm.... Not hard to remove the steering wheel column plastic covers (long thin phillips screwdriver), and then check the connectors to the directional arm and those nearby. When blinker works is its frequency correct? Both sides? If not, I'd try swapping the blinker fuse (you can find it by turning it on and sticking your head under there and feeling it clicking away. But if it's clicking it's probably ok. But first here's a weird one we've found all too often: Open the rear tailgate and carefully pull and slice off the rubber grommets around the wire harness into the hatch. Untape and pull gently on the loose wires; you'll perhaps find one...or a few!...have cut apart. Depending upon function, and whether one shorts against the metal roof, you'll either lose a function, or short out others when operated. I once found SIX wires cut apart. Amazing that the driver tolerated it.... Carefully solder or add a short splice to repair the broken wire(s) and then test everything. Actually, I'd probably check this harness first, as I've never had to replace a blinker relay. Good luck. Ern
