99 SUBARU outback 2.5 ???

Asked by Mike_crf450x_live2ri... Feb 21, 2018 at 06:37 PM about the 2000 Subaru Outback Limited Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fiancee wrecked the car and the impact
actually busted timing belt cover and one of the
pulleys. I pulled the front end mostly back out so it
can be drivable. I believe it is an interference motor
so I'm somewhat certan there is catastrophic
iinternal damage. Would it be easier to rebuild it or
just swap in another motor?  I have limited
knowledge of the "pancake" or boxer engine. Thank
you so much for and help, feedback or
suggestions.

Did you have collision insurance on this car?? I imagine that the accident was your fault? Your heading says 99 Subaru, but, the description mentioned a 200 Subaru??
