Can my 2000 Subaru Outback's odometer be set to miles? Also sticky speedo.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased a 2000 Subaru Outback. Straight away I noticed the
speedo was sticky anywhere above 70km. Also after driving some distance
and measuring the trip both on Google maps and using the trip function in
car I noticed the mileage was way out. My first thought was that these issues
are related and the "speed sensor" might be faulty. But now I'm not sure as
the trip km's on google maps converted into miles come very close to the trip
distance on the car's odometer. I don't have a user manual so not sure if the
ODO can be changed from km's to miles or not on this model? Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks

Check the odometer against a known distance or use a GPS app on your phone.
