what are the differences in tire size comparisons

can I swap a 225/65/17 instead of myy current 225/60/16 ?

No, it won't fit the rim. (Wheel) the first measurement is the weidth of the tire, second is the thickness of the tire and third is the wheel or rim size.

Subaru's do not have that much extra wheel well clearance. The extra 2" in height would probably cut your acceleration considerably.

225/65R17 is THREE sizes taller than the 225/60R16, so will probably either hit the strut tower (and thus not be mountable), or hit the fender liners when cornering. Will probably fit 2010-2014, although designed for 2015-2019 OB Premium.
