engine swap??

Hi, so I just bought my Subaru. This is my second one. I've had this vehicle only a week or so and found out it has a blown head gasket. Total bummer. The vehicle isn't what I wanted, but what I need as of now. I love Subarus, I owe my life to one. Anyways, I would have rather had a WRX bit who wouldn't. So, now my question is, since I have to invest money into this vehicle now; can I swap the 2.5l with a WRX motor. It would fit the application better of what I plan on doing with the vehicle. I want for it to be a nice rally style daily driver. If a WRX motor is able to be swapped, I would of course have it done professionally. But that is my question. Will an EJ205 or similar coded turbo engine swap?

This subject has been covered many, many times here. While possible the expense and trouble to do such a swap is really not worth it. Just buy a turbo Subaru and be done with it.

We don't answer many engine swap questions here due to the complex nature of such an endeavor. I would recommend joining a Subaru forum and / or do some Googling on the subject. Buying a 2001 Subaru might not have been a wise move. Best of luck with it.

There was a class action suit that Subaru lost but it had to do with the newer FB engine. I doubt you could get a settlement on an 16 year old EJ engine.

I have a 1999 Subaru Legacy 2.5 l and I want to do a. Swap with a turbo should I do a turbo 2.0 2.2 or. 2.5 and I was also wondering if the mount up all the same
