ABS & VDC lights remain on after replacement of the CVC joints. Battery has been disconnected, for long period of time even, to reset, but lights remain on which means ABS and VDC are not working. Please advise...

You probably broke the wires for one or more of the wheel speed sensors. See if any of them are open or just go get someone to tell you the codes that are stored for the ABS. Those codes will tell you what wheels aren't sending a signal.

My 2017 Subaru Outback's battery dies if I open the car with my fob, and then do not lock it again.
