What is a 2005 Subaru worth?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am looking to purchase a 2005 Outback Legacy
AWD 2.5 XT Turbocharged Hatchback
Stationwagon. I currently own a 2003 Mitsubishi
Galant 2.4L ES, that runs fine but has no AC and
high mileage. I’ve wanted a Subaru for a while and
this seems like a good deal, but I’m not sure.
The Subaru has 174,000 miles on it. The head
gaskets, power steering, and and water pump were
replaced at 135,000 miles and the front engine
seals, timing belt, differential fluids and oil pump
replaced at 165,000 miles. The asking price is
$5,500. There is no rust, interior leather seats, and
has sun roof. The car looks well taken care of.
Is it worth the asking price? Or what is a more
reasonable price range to offer? Is there anything I
should look for when inspecting/test driving the
car?
