Crankshaft position sensor reads rpm....could also be causing the hard start
I’m sorry I didn’t change the camshafts sensor yet .. I met to put crankshaft.. I replaced it with 2 new ones and still the same
Well, given the new info, I'm assuming that you've already checked the fuses?
Nope not yet .. I was going to in the am .. and it’s weird ..I was driving the other day after I replaced the crankshaft sensor .. it was running rough .. it cut off while I went in gas station.. came back out started it and it rain perfect.. went home cut it off and started it back up running rough again .. that’s what made me change the harness but still the same
In some vehicles rpm gauge is read by the cam sensor, but normally it is the crankshaft sensor....as for rough idle, might try cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve and see what that does....note cam sensor can also be a factor
Ok I’m going to try the cam sensor .. that’s the only thing left .. note the rpm was back working when I came out of the gas station.. .. soon as the car started running rough again .. the rpm was not working .. but I cleaned the throttle body before but I’ll clean it over as well as the idle air control valve to
Let me know what you find out, I'll try to figure out more possible causes in case it doesn't work
Hey so i ended up going to the yard and getting a variable timing solenoid ...couldnt find a cam sensor on this 2006 impala 3.5 engine ..intstalled it and same problem ...i end up checking all of the fuses and they all where good ..im losed at this point
also throwing these codes p0315 p0335
Auto parts store should have the cam sensor for roughly $25-30
See if you have a relay for a nonessential system to temporarily replace pcm relay
no relay for ecm its a fuse for it but its good
Not used to seeing one without....what's your engine compartment fuse box look like?
I think I did but I will try tomorrow.. I’m in Michigan we had a bad storm lost power for tonight
Did you ever figure it out?
