on my 2006 chevy impala as the heater is on, the driver side vents blow cold air,and the passenger side blows out warm air whats going on?

2006 Chevy Impala was making a clicking noise under the dash board. Changed it and the clicking stopped, the heat doesn't blow on the driver side (cold air comes out) and the passenger side heater works great. What could be the problem?
