okay. an exhaust emmissions device which upon deceleration, pipes the exhaust gas into the intake (akin to givin' you a dutch oven), but this dutch oven valve is stuck halfway, or gazobbled up with exhaust gas scud, so the question remains, why this not springin' out of the way to let the fresh air/fuel go into the engine. possibilities are thus: a MAF sensor which detects minute traces of various elements in the intake, the MAF (dutch oven valve) and the MAP which measures the flow after the MAP has conducted it's business-
no light no emission problem, pending code maby, sounds like throttle switch, peddle switch, throttle body area ,carb clean your throttle body if gummed,ck. air filter, switches at throttle body most likely, didnt get gas peddle soaked with water did you? dont know if a battery unhook would set the driver, before you get into all this concider the immobleisr, you know what i mean the alarm system, imobleiser, budwiser yes!
