I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS and the driver side window and lock will not work. The interior light will not come on when the driver side door is opened.

Question type: General

It does not make the dinging sound when the key is inserted into the ignition. The remote
will not lock or unlock the driver side. It has done this for a few months but a day or two
ago everything worked a few times and it stopped again. It will work and not work what
could be the problem?

A couple of years ago I got a letter from Chevrolet saying bring my 2007 trailblazer 4.2 in for a recall replacement part. The faulty part in these vehicles was the main control board on drivers side.

Correct..the 2006 main control board was recalled. I was having the same issue. Bring it any Chevy dealer and they should replace it free of charge. But call first to see if they will still honor the recall.
