Kennith, it's highly recommended to replace the pigtail that plugs into the resistor when replacing the resistor itself. These melt from the inside out. Also, make sure you got the right "resistor". If you have manual climate controls, it's called a resistor. Automatic climate controls are not resistors, it's called blower motor control module. Both look similar, in the same location, but have different functions. For your idle, not sure if you did a PCM relearn after the cleaning, hopefully you completely removed the throttle body for cleaning also. Try removing fuses #10 and #28 under the hood for an hour, to reset the pcm and complete the relearn.

I cant remember if I did change the pigtail or not that has been three years ago. I have just been Living with it for now. It is a manual so I know I have the right one. For the throttle body i did remove it but did do a pcm relearn. Thanks for the info an the help
