My transmission seems to be slipping. When i push the gas it doesn't accelerate immediately. Then when i get up to a higher speed and let off the gas it seems to decelerate on its own.

Have you checked your tranny fluid yet? If it's an automatic, you must check it with the engine running. Start vehicle, pull stick, wipe clean, put stick back in, check level on stick. If low, you will have to purchase an automatic transmission funnel. Too add fluid, pull out stick, put tranny funnel in dipstick hole, add fluid, recheck level until full.
Just make sure when you pulled the stick the engine was on. If you pull the stick with the engine off, it will always appear to be full. If you pulled with the engine on, you will most likely be going to the tranny shop. Not much more you can do other than change out the filter.
