OBD1-code 52 for 1995 toyota 4runner help

I just recently found out that my 4runner
wich is a v6 4x4 3.0engine has a trouble
code which is the 52 for the knock sensor
signal does anyone knows about this, I did
a head gasket replacement, rebuild both
heads, replaced the knock sensor wire but
didnt replace the the knock sensor, it been
2years since I did all this work and its been
almost a month that this code came up
turns on the check engine light after couple
minutes of driving the truck, and it losses
power, hesitate to accelerate on a stop or
red light its frustrating please help any
secure or promising suggestions or ideas I
would really appreciate it thanks

Thats what I was thinking that the knock sesor fried,do you know anything about drilling the block of the engine to put the knock sensor on the outside and not take everything apart and run the wire where the new spot and knock sensor will go. what do you mean by feeze plug replacement job?

Knock sensor is under manifold intake two intake. Gskt sealant Toyota make a great sealant 00295-00102 black sealant really good product.i put all my motors togeather with it. Also replace wire 82219-35010 wire not to bad of a job 2 hrs maybe.do it yourself it's easy.

Ck the wire the sensor don't go bad very often I worked for toyota 23 years on. Shop parts counter.problem most of time wire.

i have same issue changed wire and sensor still code 52 also changed timing, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, radiator, fuel injectors, ecu, egr. only thing i have left to try is engine wiring harness and going to start that tomorrow unless anyone else has any input please call any time i am frustrated and broke Marc 401-450-6698

I am having rhe same problem code 52 knock sensor purchaced a new one. When i atart the truck it runs fine for like 30 min then check engine light pops up and start to get a bit boggy fuel economy suffers a bit. And idles rougher thwn usual. Mechanic told me it soumds like my motor is running of 5 cylinders. Which qould explain konda why the truck runs fine then the code 52 comes up im leaning toward the ignition system spark plugs alternator fuel injectors ectany input ?
