Oil pressure problem

Oil pressure fine at operating temp,
when cold good at idle. throw a couple
revs at it, drops to zero. back off the
throttle for a couple seconds, back to
normal. I haven't seen any description
quite like that. '05 avalanche LT 5.3
bought her 2 years ago with just a tick
over 100 large on the clock. switched
to full synthetic at first oil change. now
approaching 140. saw a lot of good
advice here, but nothing this specific

Thanks for your help. I'm new to this ls stuff, been a small block guy for years. changed oil and filter again yesterday and she's back to normal. only 2000 since last change. looks like that shot glass sized filter might be an issue. anyone else had a problem with conventional oil filters and synthetic oil? I plan on driving this girl for a long time

Hundreds of thousands of vehicles out there running synthetic oil. Nothing new about that. Keep an eye on the gauge. Maybe just a bit of debris found it’s way into the sender. Should be able to double your oil change interval with synthetic oil.
