2000 Toyota 4Runner needs to have gas pedal stepped on to turn on car

Hey guys. Last week my truck refused to turn on. When I start
the engine it immediately turned off. I got my engine tuned up
and also replaced my spark plugs including air filter. Couple
days later, it happened again. The only way my car turns on is if I
step on the gas and turn it on. Is there something I'm doing
wrong to turn on the car?

Sounds like dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate.
