2001 VSC and check engine light came on my dashboard and I have been servicing my car at Toyota for 15 years, I was told that I should purchase a new car instead of trying to fix it, they gave me a waiver until August of 2015.Should I try to have someone else look at the vehicle before I purchase a new one? This vehicle never once shut down, never had any body work and it runs great,Any suggestions?

205 toyota 4runner. Came on after getting my snow tires changed and an alignment.

I am certified on the engine, transmission, a/c, electrical, etc.... bottom line I have tried everything that I can do myself with my knowledge and now I am stumped with this problem. I have a 2001 toyota 4runner that has both the vsc trac light and the trac off light is on and both lights came on and have stayed on after i was told to replace the cats and o2 sensors.So I did that and when i started the truck that is when both of those lights (vsc trac/trac off lights) came on and has been on since then(at least 6 months if not more). A lot of people that have told me what the problem is has been wrong. Im tired of wasting money to supposedly fix this problem and it has not. So all i am asking someone that really knows how to fix this problem to please for the love of whatever to actually tell me the right way to fix this...... I have a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner. Love it. No problems past 15 years. 287,000 miles recently my wife drove it to her appointment and when it was time for her to leave it would not srart. I towed it home and come to find out only half of the fuse box under the hood has power. The longest run of fuses does not. I need help. Any ideas ??? 2 Answers
