Junk parts , go to the dealer and pay the price .
Rebuilt starters are junk right now, most come up from Mexico and have zero quality control. Factory parts are your best bet right now for any kind of quality. If you can find one.
I've been down this road before, many years ago, with my 66 Cadillac! I went through 6 starters in as many months. I finally bought an AC Delco starter that was still in the car when I sold it several years later! So I agree, most likely the rebuilt starters you're getting are junk. One thing to check though is the starter drive to flywheel ring gear clearance. If it's not right for your vehicle it can cause premature starter failure. Or flywheel damage. Hope that helps! Jim
