power steering leak

i still have a power steering leak. Could be a hose because it wines but it still
turns good and not stff at all.My question is is it ok to put preston power
steering stop leak in it?Its a old 95 toyota so im gonna keep put large amounts
of money in it.What are the pros and cons of using stop leak in a old car?

If it’s a hose nothing like that will work. It’s only meant to soften hard seals.

This type of product rarely works. If you're getting a few drips here and there I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just keep an eye on the fluid level and top off as needed. If the power steering does start to get stiff then you'll need to decide whether to fix it or get rid of the vehicle. One other thing, do NOT put automatic transmission fluid in the power steering system unless that's what it calls for. Automatic transmission fluid has detergents in it that will damage the rubber seals and other things in the power steering system. Hope that helps! Jim
