Water is collecting in the trunk of my 1996 Toyota Avalon after it rains. Why?

Asked by SHJohn Dec 16, 2016 at 02:34 PM about the 1996 Toyota Avalon 4 Dr XL Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would guess that the drain for the trunk lid gutter is plugged up. Look in the lowest point of the gutter for a hole and make sure it is not plugged up. Also check the weather stripping and look for a drain in the trunk and make sure it works.
