is odometer reading in 2001 Toyota Avalon the original miles?

Asked by DonBusch Jun 30, 2015 at 12:44 AM about the 2001 Toyota Avalon XL

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am considering a purchase of a used 2001 Toyota Avalon. Odometer indicates 75000
miles How can I be sure that this is the actual miles on the car?.for this year the millage
is low and this affects the asking price considerably. Is there any way to verify this? The
odometer is electronic and it turns off when the ignition switch is off.

get a carfax report it may help, federal odometer laws dont apply ,so your on your own, considerably more cost,, sorry that don't count that much, age does more dammage than a few miles, How about a dried out timing belt that breaks and distroys the engine at a few miles later,Thats a total for an 2001 avalon of any miles
