Car won't start

Asked by Mocha75 Aug 27, 2019 at 11:50 AM about the 2001 Toyota Avalon XLS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Toyota Avalon and my car was
working fine until I tried to jump off my daughter
car.  Now my car will not crank.  Brand new battery,
fuses are good.  Only the interior lights come on,
can't let windows up, dash lights on working, my
speedometer is stuck on 80.  What is the problem

make sure the batt. terminals are tight , if it was working fine why did you need a jump start ? Newer cars should not be used for that , like many things in todays world they can't handle adversity . The starter may have gone bad by pure coincidence . Things should be tested before you replace them so you don't spend money needlessly .
