The maintenance book does not show a schedule for the auto tranmission fluid
change.  Why.  is this an error or what.  The car has 130000 miles and in
excellent shape.  HELP

The newer car maintenance schedules are not showing a transmission service interval but they still need to be taken car of. I always thought a fluid and filter change should be done every 50,000 miles. It's cheap preventative maintenance on the second most expensive part of the car, next to the engine. You would never dream of not servicing an engine for 130,000 miles or 12 years.
