Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought the car and was told it has a minor oil leak and to keep oil in the trunk for backup. I cleaned up the engine block with super purple but have yet to find the source. Any ideas? Oh the car is 240K+ miles.

Does it have white/bluish smoke coming from tail pipe? And how much does it 'consume'? i.e. how much you add how often ..also even if you don't see the source do you have spots/puddles in your parking place? If so, can you tell...left....right, front of engine (Side with serpentine belt)..anything... does the coolant look ok and stay at proper level
