1993 camry with anti-theft radio. I just bought the car used and the "SEC" code shows on the radio. I do not have the 3 digit code so I cannot reset the radio.

Asked by Miketroutlake Jun 09, 2017 at 01:33 PM about the 1993 Toyota Camry XLE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There must be some way to reset the anti-theft feature on the radio even if I
do not have the 3 digit code. The seller did not have the code and the manual
does not address this issue. There must be a way to get the radio to work.
Right?

I am not aware of any method of re-establishing the function of your radio WITHOUT the correct code. A Toyota dealer will provide the code based on your VIN...for...a price. I believe there are also a few on line sites which will provide you with your code...for a cheaper price. Try Googling your make ...model...year....and Radio Code.
