Clarification needed. Basically 2 things have to happen before this engine runs. ONE...the engine must CRANK over properly. This means the Battery and Starter motor is working as designed. TWO...the engine receives fuel and spark...and...fires up and runs. I assume by your description....#1 is good....and #2...is No Good??? If this is correct....then we usually check gor Spark and fuel Delivery. Get back to us with confirmation.
Any update on your "not crank" problem?
It was mine valves we still having problems with 7 valves sticking
Mine mechince had the car running for 5 min yesterday and shout it off and the 7 valves got stuck... When it was running he said it ran like a champ
You might want to have your mechanic check for "Factory Service Bulletins" on this vehicle. Toyota had a huge problem with ENGINE SLUDGE....build-up inside the Engine. Sludge may cause engine valves to stick. Let us know what the final fix is for this vehicle. Thanks for the update ....much appreciated.
