Why does my car make a popping noise when I hit a bump???

Your rear suspension system is shot-I had that same noise at about 190,000 miles. I had the suspension redone--sounds like a new car.

Most likely it's your rear struts. Had them go on my Camry. I replaced them myself. If you have capabilities to fix it yourself, you can find new struts for about $35-$85 apiece. Try Rock Auto.
