Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 95 Camry starts first time every time then stalls after 10-20 seconds?  Cold.  Last
year it ran fine but rarely would stall @ running speed.  I had to set for 2-3min before it
would start then it ran fine.  If I tried to start it immediately it started then stalled within 2-5
seconds.  Ran for months without issue now won't stay started @ all.  Local mechanic
replaced throttle position sensor (with used one) and the igniter?  Checked fuel pump, OK!

Sounds like the immobilizer. That's how the ant-theft immobilizer works on a Camry, not electrical but shuts off fuel, so when fuel in injector rail is gone..takes 2-5 seconds, it will not run. Is the red led light flashing? Only problem is still does not prevent it from being winched on to a flat-bed

Older Camrys anyway. About 2003 they changed the immobilizer...and not ant theft anti-theft

Could this immobilizer open after car sits for a few seconds as after that I can re-start the car. The more I start it the shorter it stays on and stalls quicker. Thanks!
