Are you referring to a Crankshaft Sensor Connector wiring harness? What colors are the wires?
white and blue. the other orange and blue. also im not getting any spark from my spark plug wires
Does the 1992 replacement motor have a Ignition Distributor?
Does the 1995 Engine have a Distributor? If NO....we might have a problem. The Crank sensor on an Engine with a Distributor is IN the Distributor So...it appears to me...in order to make this conversion successful...you will need to install the Computer AND the wiring harness from that 1992 vehicle..Will this conversion be worth the time and $$$?
both has almost identical distributers.how ever on the old motor 95 the sensor is on the block beside crank and alternator pulleys.where as on the new one 92 its on the distributer.the wire that that connects to the sensor only has two wires on the harness.the 92 sensor seems to take 4 that connects to the distributer.i tried to take old sensor off old motor 95.but there is no where to put it on new motor 92.which i found odd seeing that they are basicly the same motor. any suggestions
My guess is if you look inside both Dist. you will see different pick coils. the 92 Dist will have a different # of wires and colors going to it than the 95. Thus....the ECU Computer for each engine will most likely be different. You would need a wiring diagram for each.. 92 vs 95 to verify. Seems to me you will need the ECU and wiring harness from the 92 to make this conversion function,
what if the oposite. do they make a adaptor that will convert that wiring harness to a92
Answer to your question.....Unknown by this observer. A Junk Yard should have Computer software which will indicate whether this conversion is possible and what modifications will need to be performed for a successful conversion. A person to person visit is best. A telephone call may not bring accurate results. Time is $$$...if you know what I mean.
thanks you have been the most help i have had in weeks.
So...Donnie....how did you ultimately resolve this issue?
