Asked by lanastasi Mar 28, 2016 at 11:31 PM about the 1997 Toyota Camry CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I do not have computer or scanner for the car.  I don't want to go to a mechanic.
I want to know how to disable the check engine light without a computer and without a scanner.

The ONLY thing you can do is remove the bulb from the gauge assembly. Be warned though, this does NOT prevent the scanner from knowing there are codes.
