1997 Toyota Camry won't start

Asked by Paris97 Jul 04, 2017 at 11:30 AM about the 1997 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 97 Toyota Camry that will not stay
running. We changed out the alternator, fuel pump
and filter. The battery keeps dying out but other
then that it started a few days ago stayed on about
15mins then we turned it off and it never came
back on. It sounds like it wants to start up but
won't.

What engine and transmission in this vehicle? Any warning lights on or flashing? Since the battery ......keeps dying out.....the diagnosis should start with a Battery and Charging System test.......followed with a check for stored computer codes with a Scan Tool. Some auto parts stores provide some of these tests for FREE..
