camry fuel pump check

How do you determine if the fuel pump is bad. My daughter's Camry will turn over fine but
not even attempt to fire. Other suggestions said to check the fuel pump next. Do I pull an
injector to check it?

I've looked thoroughly and find no schaeder valve anywhere on the fuel rail, except under the manifold, which would be a terrible location. In any case, I hear no pump when I turn the key on. Before changing the pump, I'd like to check the power to it, but can't find a pinout of the connector. Anyone know which pins to test for power?

See if there is a "diagnostic connector" under hood the left side engine compartment. This is a small 1x2 inch plastic connector with a flip open lid. under the lid is a label which may show the Fp test connection. If this connector does not exist,,,,you will have to remove the rear seat to access the fuel pump connector. Which wire is the feed?? You will need to probe each wire with a DVOM while the engine is cranking...looking for 10-12v. Remember, there is a fuse and relay in this circuit. Also....the fuel filter on this cranks and no start issue could be the root cause. Installing a fuel pressure gauge IS definitely the best way to check fuel deliver as noted above.
