oil light on 1998 toyota camry keeps blinking off and on

bought 98 toyoya camry and oil light keep blinking and it keeps dying.

I think you have two separate issues here. First, have someone put an oil pressure gauge on and make sure that you have the correct oil pressure. That will tell you if you have a bad oil pump or pressure regulator. The dying goes, you may just have an old weak battery. Or your alternator may be bad which will also cause the car to die once the battery has lost it's charge. I noticed that this is an older post. Have you made any progress?

batt is new, oil light comes on as blink, rev up engine and it goes out stops blinking, happens when engine temp is normal no problem when cold /
