1998 toyota camry starting issues

Asked by Bernardino Jun 21, 2016 at 06:21 PM about the 1998 Toyota Camry LE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently got a 1998 Toyota Camry. The issue is it
won't start. She wants to kick over but just keeps
going. I've checked the fuel lines, checked the oil,
gas is good. spark plugs are still good  but she just
won't kick. I just injected ether. Hopefully that will
do some help. I'm thinking it's a timing issue . It
does sound a little weird when I try to start it.

IF....you are describing a good Crank,,,eg. battery is good and turns the engine over....but....the engine will not fire up and run...you probably have a fuel delivery issue. Clogged fuel filter....bad fuel pump....out of gad...bad computer. Try going to the rear of the car and bang on the bottom of the gas tank with the palm of your hand.....while someone else try's to start her up. If she runs...you have a bad fuel pump. Get back to us with the results.

after replacing the driver side exterior door handle, I got everything back in the door, but i can't seem to push the latch rod back into the opening all the way enough to snap the plastic yellow rod retainer back on. Any advice?
