1999 Toyota Camry cluster panel

My daughter's 99 Camry has issues. Recently the
gauge fuse blew, so I replaced it. It blew again. If
you don't replace it, the alternator stops charging
the battery and the car won't start. I've replaced the
alternator thinking that was the problem, replaced
the fuse numerous times trying to find the
problem. Every time we think we have it figured
out, the fuse blows again and we're back at square
one. Please help....

I'm no mechanic, but do you get any activity at all from the cluster, lights, tach, etc., before a new fuse blows, or does it blow immediately? Have you removed the cluster to look for a bad ground or the power supply blown? Correct fuse value?
