My 1999 Camry sporting 271000 miles will not move forward when I accelerate. The rpm's rev up to 5 & 6 but no movement. Also, it wil move just fine in reverse.

The bad news is that your transmission is dead. It's time to replace it or the whole vehicle.

The car was working just fine until it sat for 2 weeks while i was out of town. Then the cold weather hit, in the teens, so could it be something else? Maybe the air filter? Also, is there such a thing as a transmission filter? I know I'm reaching...
